Cassava Flour Rottis
Prep Time : 20 minutes
Cook Time : 25 minutes
Total Time : 45 minutes (Including Ganache if required)
Serving : 6
Ingredients
- 350g – 4009 Cassava Flour
- 1 Scraped Coconut – Medium Size
- Water – 1 to 2 Cups
- Pinch of Salt
Note: You may replace Tapioca Starch with Cassava Flour as well.
Directions
- Mix Cassava Flour (intially 350g and subsequenly the balance based on the texture of the dough), Scraped Coconut & Salt together and add water little by little and mix until well combined.
- You will feel when the dough is ready to make rotti balls.
- Once the dough is ready, divide the dough in to equal sized small balls (20 – 25) and keep them in a rotti shaper / press to press and get the rotti shape or use a rolling pin to make the rotti shapes.
- Keep the dough in between two baking sheets slightly greeted with melted butter to remove the rotti easily.
- Place the rottis in a rotti maker on medium flame for 2 minutes each side until slightly golden brown.
- Serve with any preferred curry, topping, honey, jaggery or coconut sambol.
**Small rottis are easy to make with this flour
**You can add onion, green chilli pieces to the dough depending on your taste preference.
