1
Activate the Yeast
Combine the warm water, dry yeast, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir gently until dissolved, then leave the mixture to rest until the yeast becomes active and slightly foamy.
(10 min)
2
Add the Wet Ingredients
Stir in the maple syrup (or treacle or honey), oil, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
(2 mins)
3
Mix in the Flour
Add the Wellness Cultz GF All Purpose Flour and mix using a stand mixer or hand mixer for about 2 minutes until a smooth batter forms.
(2 mins)
4
Add the Egg Whites
Add the egg whites and continue mixing for another 2 minutes. If the dough appears too thick, gradually add a small amount of warm water until it reaches a soft, loose consistency.
(2 mins)
5
Proof the Dough
Transfer the dough into a prepared loaf pan. Leave it in a warm place for 35–45 minutes until it doubles in size, taking care not to over-proof.
(35-45 mins)
6
Bake the Bread
Preheat the oven for 10 minutes. Bake the loaf on the center rack for 35–45 minutes. Place a bowl of water inside the oven to help retain moisture. The bread is ready when the internal temperature reaches 95–99°C or a toothpick comes out clean.
(35–45 min)
7
Cool and Slice
Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Cool completely before slicing. Thin slices toast beautifully for a crisp finish.
(5 min)
SPECIAL NOTE
Keep a bowl of water inside the oven throughout baking to maintain moisture and achieve a softer crust. Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing for the best texture and easier cutting.
