METHOD

Mix, Stretch, Bake

0 of 9 steps
1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) for 10 minutes while preparing the dough ingredients.
10 minutes
2

Prepare the Dough Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, active dry yeast, sugar, flaxseed, and garlic powder. Add the olive oil and hand-hot water, then mix using a wooden spoon, stand mixer, or dough hook until a rough dough forms.
3 minutes
3

Knead the Dough

Knead the dough by hand or using a stand mixer for 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and soft. If the dough feels too wet, add a little extra flour as needed, being careful not to make it dry.
8–10 minutes
4

Allow the Dough to Rise

Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough inside, turning it so the surface is coated with oil. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or lid and allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Minimum 2 hours
5

Prepare the Pizza Trays

Once the dough has risen, preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Prepare two 8–9 inch pizza trays, depending on your preferred crust thickness.
5 minutes
6

Shape the Pizza Bases

Punch down the risen dough to release excess air and divide it into two equal portions. Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll each portion into your desired thickness. If the dough feels too firm, use a little warm water to soften it.
5–7 minutes
7

Add the Toppings

Transfer the rolled dough onto the prepared pizza trays. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each base, then top with cheese and your favourite toppings.
5 minutes
8

Bake the Pizzas

Place the pizzas on the centre rack of the oven and bake at 190°C (375°F) for approximately 15 minutes, or until the crust is cooked and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
15 minutes
9

Slice and Serve

Remove the pizzas from the oven and allow them to rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy with your favourite sides.
2 minutes
SPECIAL NOTE

The amount of flour needed may vary depending on the dough consistency, so adjust gradually while kneading. Since every oven behaves differently, begin checking the pizzas after 10 minutes and adjust the baking time as needed to achieve your preferred crust texture.
